The 2018 Christian Stewardship Award is presented to:
The Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia Congregation, Nashville, Tennessee

The International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC) is privileged to announce the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia Congregation of Nashville, Tennessee, as the 2018 recipient of the Christian Stewardship Award. This award is presented annually to an individual or organization for their unique and extraordinary witness to Christian stewardship as a way of life.

Founded in Nashville, Tennessee in 1860, the Nashville Dominican community has gained national attention over the last 15 years as being one religious community that has grown in vocations, especially among younger women. It has been well-reported that Catholic bishops request the Nashville Dominicans to send their young sisters to their parochial schools. A recent count had a large number of the sisters out teaching in 34 schools in 13 states. The community's rst foreign mission was in Sydney, Australia in 2007, followed by a mission in Vancouver, Canada in 2010; then Elgin, Scotland and Limerick, Ireland.

The Motherhouse is St. Cecilia Convent in Nashville. The sisters wear the full habit and are said to have a predominant apostolate, that of teaching. For more about the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation, please see www.nashvilledominican.org.

The Christian Stewardship Award will be presented at the Monday plenary luncheon of the 56th annual ICSC conference which begins at 11:45 am on October 29, 2018, at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, Tennessee.
